We are low cost as we are not specialist pathologists, but we outsource specialist services from a reputable pathologist group only when needed and on agreeable service conditions.

We offer a wide range of automated, quality-controlled tests in Haematology, Biochemistry, Immunology, Microbiology and COVID-19 PCR with a small scope of Molecular techniques.
Our Founders
MAKMED Medical Laboratories is a medical testing laboratory founded by Mr. Busani Ngwenya and Mr. Tobias Makanza. They are renowned, and seasoned Medical Laboratory Scientists registered with the HPCSA.
Both holders of a Bachelor of Science in Medical Laboratory Sciences Honours Degree. They
worked with and for reputable Pathologists like Lancet and Ampath at some point in their career. They are knowledgeable, competent, and have impeccable work experience.
Relevant to their business innovation, they have acquired business insight, knowledge, and qualifications in Business Accounting, Bachelor of Accounting, and CIMA.
